Communication
We believe that parent/carers are our key partners. A successful partnership is built on strong communication and trust.
We use a number of different ways to communicate with our parent/carers and do so using the following methods;
Email, Telephone calls, Text message (via teachers2parents), Termly Newsletters, Parent/Carer Evenings, Learning Review Days, Letters home and the Website.
Following our consultation with parents and carers we have recently adapted our communication procedures, to ensure that we respond to you queries in an efficient and timely way. Please see here for staff contact information.
Call and email queries to the school
- Queries relating to any pastoral needs should be emailed to your son’s form tutor (this should include any personal or wellbeing information that you wish the school to know).
- Subject specific queries should be emailed to the teacher of the subject in question.
- General queries (e.g in relation to exam timetable, dinner money, transport. trips etc.) should be directed to the school office either by call or email.
Staff will endeavour to respond to your queries within 24 hours (during school days). Should this not happen please report this to the admin team via the following email address: admin@haileyhall.herts.sch.uk
Two-way communication occurs when teachers and parents dialogue together.
“Effective dialogue develops out of a growing trust, a mutuality of concern, and an appreciation of contrasting perspectives” (Lawrence-Lightfoot, 2004).
