Pupil Voice
A Hailey Hall School we believe that a successful “Pupil Voice” is integral to nurturing responsible, collaborative and pro-active young people.
The Pupil Voice aims to build a sense of community and strength within the schools mission statement “Believe, Strive, Achieve”. The aim of the Pupil Voice is to create and maintain a respectful and formalised student body to represent pupils’ views that can help inform the decision making process for pastoral, academic and whole school development.
The Pupil Voice gives representation from every year group the opportunity to meet regularly for debate and make decisions.
Pupil Voice has been integral to a number of key developments within the school community including, the introduction of the school uniform and the structure and development of the new Behaviour Management rewards and consequences system introduced this year.
We want our pupils at Hailey Hall to become actively involved at the heart of the learning community thus contributing to the school’s culture and ethos. For pupils to become more involved in school life, it will help them gain essential life skills, including:
- Leadership
- Team Work
- Responsibility
- Raising Self Esteem
- Improving Self Confidence
- Supporting and Developing Rewards
