Hailey Hall School Behaviour
We expect the highest standards of behaviour from Hailey Hall pupils. We provide all pupils with fair access to our behaviour curriculum to ensure student work towards our minimum expected behaviour standards.
To support a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment we have a behaviour management system that is designed to fit in line with our core values and ethos. Our behaviour curriculum and behaviour for learning policy encourage and celebrate positive behaviour, aiming to promote a culture where all members of the Hailey Hall School community feel happy, pupils are encouraged to strive for and achieve excellence.
Our behaviour protocols enable us to implement a system where positive behaviour choices result in positive consequences (through our rewards systems) and negative behaviour choices result in a consequence resulting in pupils having to undertake a recognition, reflection and restorative approach; often resulting in a repair.
The overall aims of our behaviour for learning systems are:
- To place an embedded focus on learning
- To provide a consistent whole-school approach to behaviour
- To promote a classroom environment where pupils feel safe and are confident to take academic risks
- To ensure all members of the community feel safe and supported
- To encourage self-regulation and positive choices
