Eleven Year 11 pupils were taken on a trip to the beach at Frinton at the end of last half term to celebrate the end of their time at Hailey Hall. We had a sing song on the way to the beach and arrived to blue skies but a rising tide.
As soon as we arrived, all the boys ran into the sea and had a whale of a time. Some of the boys were struggling to get into the sea due to the temperature but luckily their friends were there to help them and they all ended up swimming!
We built sandcastles, collected baby jellyfish in a bucket and played frisbee and vortex in the sea. Once the tide had taken the beach we moved on to the green, where we had fish and chips and another sing song, with Mr Taylor and Mr Thurley rapping, singing and playing the guitar.
We took a walk along the High Street and bought ice creams and some traditional sweets, which were eaten on the way back to school. “Best trip ever…” (direct quote from one of the year 11 boys).
